Where inner work meets the space between us
In Attunement Communication groups we practice Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication and Sarah Peyton’s Resonance work together. In this space, we open our hearts and engage with vulnerability, warmth and curiosity. Together, in real time, we navigate the challenges that arise inside ourselves and between people—exploring what it means to be honest, brave, and truly present.
Why do a practice group? Group work has been shown to be the most effective way to learn and incorporate new knowledge and skills.
“Collaborative learning has been shown to be one of the most effective methods for developing and applying new skills, as it promotes active engagement, peer feedback, and deeper understanding through social interaction.” (Annals of Psychology)
Over time our brains grow new neural connections and what we practice creates new habits or ways of being.
In an Attunement Communication group you will be supported by a skilled facilitator and practice with 10-12 other motivated and curious individuals who are committed to learning in a safe and trusting environment.
Attunement Communication Group Types
There are two types of groups that come together here at Attunement Communication to implement the principles of Nonviolent Communication and Resonant healing. The first is our Intro to NVC Practice Group, here we gain the foundation of understanding and begin to apply the concepts of NVC in a group format. The second is our Ongoing Practice Group, here we take the methods and insights gained in the Into to NVC Group and apply them practically in a group setting.
Intro to NVC Practice Groups
This is the starting place for applying NVC and Resonant Healing in your life. In this 14 week training you will meet once weekly for 90 minutes to get acquainted with these groundbreaking concepts and begin to apply them in your life. You will work alongside peers in an uplifting and safe environment as you begin to practically apply what you are learning.
Ongoing NVC Practice Groups
Once you have completed the “Intro to NVC Practice Group” you are ready for the next step. You will work with your practice group to apply what you have learned into your every day life experience. You will collaborate to foster a safe and open environment where your differences and similarities are celebrated and the problems you face in your everyday life are deconstructed and transformed into need based language. You deserve to have your needs met and this is the place where you can learn how to communicate them effectively as well as appreciate and connect with the needs of others.
