About Nonviolent Communication (NVC) & Resonant Healing
Attunement Communication pulls from several wisdom traditions for individual learning and insight. It is most influenced by the work of Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Sarah Peyton’s Resonant Healing research. Ashley brings these two methods together to give you the tools you need to have success in your journey forward. NVC has had success transforming lives for over 30 years across the globe with its focus on empathy over right/wrong thinking. Instead, with NVC we will use the framework of observations, feelings, needs and requests as well as the many key differences that set NVC apart from traditional forms of communicating. With Resonant Healing we will learn how emotional warmth, when used in a targeted way, can create the atmosphere for us to learn and grow our connecting capacity. Life is better with these tools!

What is “Attunement” and Why Does It Matter?
In The Body Keeps the Score, Dr. Bessel van der Kolk explains that healing from trauma depends on attunement—the experience of being deeply seen, felt, and understood.
Support systems like family, education, or financial stability aren’t enough without emotional attunement. Without it, the brain may interpret trauma as normal or deserved. With it, resilience forms: adversity is challenged, growth follows, and a brighter future feels possible.
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Resonant Healing are powerful tools for building attunement—whether or not it was present in early life. Like tuning forks, humans are wired to resonate with one another. When someone is attuned to, healing becomes possible.
And the good news? It’s never too late to start.
“It’s never too late to have a happy childhood.” — Marshall Rosenberg

About Ashley Eddington
Hi, I am Ashley! I am so glad you are here. I love what I do and I am thrilled to get to work with people like you every day. Like most of us, you might have learned to be a “good kid” by not speaking up, not making a fuss, not being too needy, and so on. While those around us were doing the best they knew how to do, these kinds of messages created some disconnection in us from our beautiful needs.
And why that is important is that when we don’t get our needs met, we don’t thrive, no matter how much we try to convince ourselves otherwise. We were all born with needs, lots of them, and they are all beautiful. It’s strange at first, to believe it, and it’s true!
NVC has a saying that there is no such thing as a bad need, only bad strategies to get our needs met. Once we start figuring out what our needs are, we will learn how to meet them, making everyone’s lives more fulfilling.
Come check out a new kind of emotional freedom. You’ll be glad you did!
